Hi everyone this is my first time in the forum, and I'm not english I'm Portuguese so I'm sorry about my writing.
This is what's up:
I need to buy studio monitor and I have a low budget (at most I can spend 400$).
I can't go to a store and test these monitors my self because there are none around my shopping area.
So I have been reading some reviews and overviews, and I have been reading a lot of theory about what the monitors are spouse to do and about acoustic and other things.
So after a lot and a lot of search and research I have came along whit this model and brands.
Yamaha HS50M: In my conclusion they are Honest and natural what you hear is what you get and you will get it in any other speakers however the lack on bass and I need to hear the bass to know what I'm doing and I need to feel the kicks. Buying a sub is totally out of my range.
Price: 372$
KRK RP5 G2: Okay this ones I have known that they have more bass. But the kind lie to you because what you listen on them is different in other speakers and that is not what I want.
Price: 384$
ALESIS M1 ACTIV MK2 They sound crispy and honest. Some say they are the best on this price range. However I have read this review that say "The power supply on one of my speakers has just failed (after 3 years use). They cost £99 to replace (basically the cost of a new speaker). Alesis deny this is a common problem, but it obviously is the result of a design fault." This make me think a little because I want some monitors that I can rely on for a few years, and when I upgrade my studio I still can use them.
Price: 380$
Samson Rubicon R6a I think thats the right model. I don't know a lot on this ones, actually I want any of you to tell me something about them Because I can get it for 322$.

I really think about getting the Yamahas.
Attention: My room doesnt have any acoustics treatment and is small. The monitors will have to be near a wall.

I was expecting this type of answer.
I have used and that at least I have mentioned what monitors I was looking for, what I think about them (goods and bads), my room size and acoustic treatment that at least is a little different from others.
Look I just want to have a last opinion on it. I don't need no one making those types of post.

I'll give give you an opinion. At the price point you at looking at, they are all crap so it doesn't really matter which ones you buy so buy the ones that you think look pretty. Or, do the smart thing and save your money to buy something that you can make real use of.

I just bought my new monitors not too long ago. I bought a set of Wharfedale Diamond Pro 8.2A's ($300/pair) and love them. I had a pair of M-Audio Bx5a to start with, but they were way too bass heavy. I spend a couple of months auditioning different monitors. I listened to the KRK Rockits (Bass Heavy), Beringer Truth 2030A (Exaggerates the highs and lows), to name a few. The only other ones I thought sounded descent were the Yahmaha HS50M and the Fostex PM02.
