Hi i'm about to get a new comp and would like to know wot would be the best options i' will build myself
i would like to record up to 60 audio tracks
will run neuendo, soundforge and others
like to run plug in's but not really vsti's
as have a lot of outboard gear
thinking of going p4 route but any advice would be helpful

If you are going to run lots of plugins than build a dual proces
If you are going to run lots of plugins than build a dual processor machine..it's your best bet especially with Nuendo. Since Nuendo is native based you will need the power. For 60+ tracks and plugins you should get yourself a SCSI card with a fast SCSI hard drive..also having a ATA100 7200 RPM drive for your OS and apps is a good idea as well.
MSI makes a Dual Athalon mainboard...Asus makes a dual PIII mainboard..Abit makes a couple of dual proc boards as well..not sure about dual P4 boards yet..havent looked into it for a bit
also lots o Ram!!!
