probably 3 things

1) one or more of your cables need replacing
2) your electronics need checking
3) youre using single coil pickups :P

which with an amp like that id imagine you would be using single coil, or at most a strat with a humbucker bridge. but single coils shouldnt ever give THAT much noise anyway.

Does it generate the noise even when the guitar is NOT plugged in? If so, you may have a bad preamp tube. Take a pencil and gently tap on the preamp tubes ( the small ones) when the amp is warmed up, and you set the amps' volume to the same settings you are complaining about. Can you hear the tapping from through your amps' speaker? You might have a tube that is "microphonic" enough to aggravate the noise. The quality of those tubes in that amp are not the best...they can be bad right out of the box. Are you picking up radio stations, especially at night? That's another noise issue with that series...

hahahahahahahaha. i had a squire that would do that when i played on my back porch (solid state amp).

That has been an issue with a number of their amps, tube or SS. I believe that it had to do with the circuit ground plane (duh!) and that plastic input jack. I replaced the jack with a real Switchcraft and that helped the HotRod and the Jr. minimize the problem. We used to laugh at the radio we picked up because it was usually Cuban stations coming through a Mexican amp!

there is always more noise with distorton or valve drive. it could be improved if you change that first valve.
