I heard the 110P in a room that Chris designed. And we drove a considerable distance to audition them: That goes for both the speakers and the room.

We were consulting with Chris on our studio buildout, and also shopping for monitors. I think Chris likes to sell his services and monitors as a "package", and I don't blame him one bit!

Anyway, I digress...

The 110P's really did sound fantastic. Right up there with the best I've ever heard. The midrange balance and imaging was really a revelation for me. Honestly, just an incredible, delicate, tapestry of detail. Keep in mind, these are point source speakers, so they're absolutely time aligned. I'm sure thats what gives the midrange it's delicate precision.

These speakers are usually paired with his(Chris's) sub (the PSS12LF) as was the case here. Well, the bottom, while not thunderous, was super solid and punchy all the may down. Chris claims his rooms/speakers are generally flat down to 17Hz! And the top was, er, unremarkable? Meaning just extremely transparent. Adjectives like "detailed", or "relaxed" just don't spring to mind. Maybe something more like "revealing".

Overall, between the room and the speakers, we were pretty impressed. But ultimately we ended doing something else entirely.

Cheers!
