I have been recording full bands with my PreSonus Firepod for about 6 months now. Overall, I am very happy with the firepod's quality and ease to use the product. But after a while, i have been looking into another PreSonus product called the Eureka. I have been reading other forums like this, and a lot of people use this along with a firepod or two and say they get great results with the combination. So my question was [and probably a dumb one] How exactly is the Eureka ran with the firepod in terms of hooking them up together? I assume it would be the firepod S/PDIF output to the Eureka S/PDIF input, then eureka S/PDIF out to the firepod S/PDIF input? If that is correct, then i was also curious if the Eureka would only work per channel on the firepod, or effect all channels on the firepod? For instance, if i were recording 8 tracks simotaneously on the firepod doing drums, would the settings on the eureka effect all of those channels on the way into my PC? Any help would be greatly appreciated, also any other suggestions as to additions i could make to combine with my firepod to help make better recordings. Thanks alot!
