I recently purchased from Ebay the AT4033a mic. I was wondering if anyone has had experience with this mic and the best to capture vocals with it?

Also I'm in a college dorm room 13' by 13', any suggestions to making the room suitable for recording vocals and getting the best sounds? It's relatively quiet in my room, not much outside noise. The walls are cement. I have lots of blankets!

Thanks, Andrew.

I use mine on everything ALL the time. Vocals, be sure and use a 'pop' shield of some sort. not only will it tame most silibants (which as a sensitive mic, the 4033 will certainly pickup) but it will give you a chance to learn what distance your voice sounds best with this mic. You play up to the filter and never worry about proximity bumps or spit getting into the diaphrams.
