Each time I shut down my Power Computing Power Tower Pro 225 (which has a Newer Tech 400 MHz G3 card installed), the date resets to 1956. I assume that this means that the internal battery has failed. Does any one know if this battery is easily removed, socketed rather than soldered in, and if a replacement can be obtained? I'm trying to save myself the trouble of dismantling my entire set-up for nothing. Thanks.

Yes, it's quite easy..it's a Lithium battery that's in a slot that is not solderd on..simple open the case..look for the battery..yank it out and bring it to somewhere like Radio Shack or whatever and see if they have any of those!
Yes, if the date reverts like that it is definately the battery..
Reminds me of the Eddie Murphy skit about the car battery being stolen...lol
