Guy, a quick question ..
Right now, I'm using JBL monitor speakers as my final mixdown sound source. (these are those floor type or the ones that go on the stands type of monitors used on stage).
Now, I've set my levels and set all my eq's and effects on every channel, all balanced and ready to do a final CD record .. When I play my final mix on the speakers at low volume, everything seems to be fine and clear .. When I start to crank up the volume or start to increase the volume, the speakers start to distorte .. My LED's on the mixers and clip lights are not clipping except on the power amp they clip a little when cranking up ..
is it becasue the speakers don't have enough power or i need to get more watts in speakers or maybe I need to use studio monitors instead of the floor type ones ...

Got some model numbers and specs you can throw at us? Also the chain up to the amp would be pretty important in this...
the amp is made by A.R.T .. The model is SLA-1 and and the floor monitor speakers are JBL model TR-105 ...
The AMP is brand new .. I just bought it ... I had the speakers for about 4 years now .. I'm just thinking it's must be the speakers .. They don't match the amp ... I'm going to get some good studio monitor speakers, like either the M-Audio BX-8 or maybe something esle .. I was also thinking in the line of Dynaudio BM6 and maybe giving the amp back to the store and getting the Bryston 2B-LP Pro amp ...
