hi. I need help on which firewire audio interface to choose. Ive been decided on a saffire for months now but i only juts realised its got like 4 inputs! i want to be able to record drums(7 mics), synths, guitars and stuff so i need like at least 10 inputs preferably.

I thought this would be a simple request, but the cabling company I've ordered from have got it wrong twice now:

I have a TL Audio C1 preamp/compressor.
I just love what it does to my bass patches. My NL2 is permanently patched in channel A, my SE-1x channel B. The *only* thing I dont like about it is that there's no output trim control so I have to be careful not to clip the converters when I'm overdriving the signal. Not a deal breaker.

Obviously, this question could be answered if I had both units.

Okay here is a wonderful question for everybody. Are there any good linux based audio recording programs, I basically need a 2 track editor, and on very rare occasions mulitracking.

Ok, I hate, I mean really hate to post this question here but all searches and calls to Magix have produced no results.

So as I said, I am using Cubase sx 3 along side with the PreSonus Firebox. My problem is when I moved on from Cubase LE and changed to using SX 3 I can't seem to get Mic/Inst input 1 to record as anything but mono which ends up panning to the left. The output in effect plays everything to the left as well. If anyone has any advice please IM me on magiCDuff. That's my aI'm name.
