I've been having all kinds of issues with timing as I record that I've basically realized are latency issues.
(Using Reaper and an M-Audio Profire 610)

So I measured my latency as follows:

Folks, no matter what app I use to record myself singing and playing guitar, the guitar always projects a phaser/flange type sound. I deactivate those effects in the given apps but it still happens. I am running Win 10. Any input is much appreciated. I know this question and my level of recording is not up to the standards of the forum overall but still would appreciate hearing from you.

A question: is it possible to link several computers running each one their own VST library and command them by one other computer using Pro Tools?
I mean, I thinking to distribute the software in differente resources (Mac's or PC's) to improve results in terms of time and stability.
May be it possible? Thanks!

I'm looking for a way to use drum triggers to trigger my SP404sx in a live drum set up. I also have a Scarlett Focusrite 2i4 that could be used in the setup if necessary.

This is going to come across as a stupid question from someone who has played guitar for over 47 years... but..

I stopped recording about 8 years ago and just recently decided to get back into it. I have a decent set of drum mics but they do not include any "overhead" mics. I ended up using two large condenser mics that I normally use for vocals but what I'm finding is that the snare comes out really loud, not giving me much control over the SM57 I use directly on the snare.
