Lefty- 'I know what you say' 4-track recording in warehouse, live.

Here's one for the kids! All the way from 2012. An old band of mines tunes, when the fellas were putting it together. 414 OH, nady Kick mic, 57s gtr, vox 414-manly tube-1176 (overdubbed). We were in this big 40x50 ish office style room in some un-rented warehouse a buddy was renting. We had a crappy pearl kit. This was fun. Couple drinks and smokes and jamming late into the night.

Need input on room simulation

Hi all..

I'm doing a rocker for this next song on the album I'm engineering...

This is definitely not a "clean / studio" sound I'm after here. I'm looking for a sort of "trashy" vibe to it, particularly on drums, but... I'd rather use just one reverb on everything to emulate the vibe of a band playing all at once in the same space.

R.I Legend Phil Greene (new kids on the block, Johnny A) Interveiw

hey guys, this interveiw showed up on my Facebook from a buddy of mine. I work with Phil (guy on the left), and he is quite the character, most of which would not be gentlemanly for me to talk about here. there's not a whole lot of documentation on Phil but he surely is a New England legend, and one of the most commercially sucessful engineer/producers from the area.

Need a 12 space, but not sure about brands

I was looking for a budget flight case and ran across an ad for a Cavin RW12 Road Warrior for $200 bucks. It looks new but then I noticed the ad didn't say anything about being ATA certified. I could get a Road Runner or Gator brand at Guitar Center which I think are ATA certified for just slightly more. Or a ProX ATA.
