I am currently trying to read up on this subject. My audio interface accepts either balanced or unbalanced 1/4" jacks into its inputs, and out of its outputs.

An emulation of the Neve 1073 EQ.

I downloaded a trial version of it yesterday. It's pretty close, considering it's missing all the wiring and electronics - not to mention the actual 1073 preamp - that makes up the real thing.

I am beginner in home recording. I've recently bought a new audio interface, the Tascam US-122MKII, to record audio, guitar and MIDI tracks. I've successfully recorded all but the latter. For some reason I can't get any signal from my keyboard in my recording software. I've connected correctly the MIDI cables also.

I need to update my recording gear and need suggestions. I have an old G4 and 7.4 Pro Tools. Need to get in touch with this decade ha. I only do my guitar and bass parts here so fairly simple needs. Not sure what computer to actually get or what interface etcetera. I should have paid more attention during the last 10 years as we made our CDs in those big studios.

I know it's been a long wait for a picture of the new. . wait for it. TUBE EQ! So here it is. It is a Pultec EQP-1A style EQ, with high voltage tube makeup gain just like the original! It utilizes CineMag input and output transformers, a CineMag inductor, Tung Sol high-end tubes out of the box (12AX7 and 12AU7).

Hey all - I have a Lindell 503 power chassis. I have been using a Phoenix DRS1R Preamp in the first slot for about 5 months now, no issues. I recently got an A designs P1 as well.

This piece is evolving but what really excited me about it was that both guitars are live tracked single takes close mic'd w/ my SM57 on my Boogie into my M-Audio Profire 610.

I got lucky I think with mic position here and got what I thought was a usable sound without too much fiddling.
