Being a newbie, a tinkerer, and one who is interested in recreating "that sound" from the early 60's obtained in some of those great jazz recordings, I have obtained my first really decent microphone; a Stephen Sank modified B&O. It has the sound I want, but the mixer boards I use have too much hiss and not enough gain.

For me the answer is no.

I hope this site survives...I like it better than the other ones I visit. It seems less bent on arguing over the rather myopic debate between using one particular product over analog, etc.

I like the general level of questions, and even just the layout.

In the very near future, RO will have a "Best Bang For The Buck DAWs" feature, which will give our members specific recommendations for computer systems and DAW components. will be on the same hardware,
will it be compatible with HD,
will it have 32 tracks,
will it be compatible with the old plugs?
