Triton Rack Mount vs Korg Karma

My equipment set up as of now is an ASR-X, EMU PLanet Phatt, Yamaha PSR420, wit SONAR seq.

and i'm primarily a Hip Hop, RnB, and Pop(all music genres cross that line)

from my visits at samash they told me Karma is better for less musically inclined people or people who don't know how to play the piano read notes etc(thats me)

Hello fellow readers and posters. I'm very new to this site but have enjoyed reading what others have to say about a great deal of things. I'm a guitar player, yet an amateur at recording audio with computers.

I attend a recording school, and recieved a reel of 2 inch to record a project on. Judging by the amount of labels on the box, I could tell that I was the fourth person to use this reel. God only knows how many times it has been recorded on. When I was mixing down my project I noticed a distinct hiss in the background.

Curious as to see if anyone has ever tracked with this console. From the looks of it, it seems a lot of stuff for a little price.
