MixFest 2001 Pointmen

Pointmen:

"UFO" - Scenaria

Scenaria will try and recover corrupt data or replace the snare. Will do the 2" transfer (perhaps on your reel of 499, perhaps on a reel of GP9 that I will be getting my hands on tomorrow.

"She's the Man" - Mixerman and bportzer

I will get the dig transfers done of this song and get them to bportzer for copying and distribution.

Time for a new drumkit

Okay, I have had it with my drum kit. It is too big. And loud. And old. So what should I buy? I will be replacing everything because I'd like to keep my old kit in the practice room. I'd like a small jazz kit that won't fall apart in 2 years. Any personal recommendations? Rumors? Inuendo? I don't descriminate when it come to free advice.

Mixing to CDR or CDR/W

Is there a sonic difference mixing to CDR/W as opposed to CDR? I like the idea of being able to fix false starts or start/stop times, or making alternate mixes then copy from CDR/W to CDR as a final mix.Would this be an acceptable way to do it, or would I be better off going directly to CDR?
Thanks in advance,
Luke
