Shure SM61 - Anyone got one or had one?
I watched a Carpenters documentary and Karen Carpenter was using a Shure SM61, and a white one to be accurate. We all know her voice pretty well and looking at the spec, it was advertised as omni, and impervious to pops, blasts and wind noise, and looks good on stage/TV. I wonder how useful they'd be today?

AKG genuine CK12 Brass capsule: building DIY mic with a single Jfet-transistor
I have got discovered vintage AKG CK12 Brass capsule at home.
I would like to build a mic with this capsule and use a standard one-transistor Jfet circuit of ECM electret mics (common source either
source follower)...
Has anyone ever tried to wire such a large capsule with a single Jfet transistor ? Do you think this might work as a decent condenser mic ?

Free Acoustica British Style Channel Strip
Till 2/14/21 you can get a free acoustica plugin. Seems pretty cool from what i can tell on my phone. There's a fair amount of people singing praises about acoustica sound quality, and noting there CPU intense nature.
Hope i get mine in time, figure y'all might be interested.

Front and Rear of Control Room
In 1978, when I was a grad student at North Texas, we were installing a new master control room for the College of Music. Back then, the discussion had to do with contrasting front and rear wall treatments. Our room was designed with a live front, monitors mounted on a wooden wall, with the rear wall deadened by at least three feet of soft insulation.

RF preventing me from using my home studio
Just moved to a new apartament, set up my old gear in a new room and turns out that now I'm receiving an unbearable amount of Radio sign. I can even listen to what the Radio show is broadcasting.
To explain the situation better, I'm going to list some info
If I plug my microphone (condenser) ----> Focuriste, then I get lower/almost nothing radio noise
