Record Lathes
I have a few questions about record lathes that I can't seem to find answers for.
Who makes them?
Who owns them?
How are they controlled?

This one, now, that looks rather digital to me. Check 3m:35s.
Thanks.

Audio Mastering
Hello everyone,
I'm looking for advise on what I need to provide my customers with when mastering a song.
I've been able to get good reviews from my already standing customers and was wondering if anyone has advised as to what the songs need to have as far as specs:
i.e 16 bit recording, 44.1 kHz.

Help With a Quiet Mix
I have a mix that I'm really happy with, but it's very quiet. I even added a master track and put it through compression. I love results of the WAV that i have of it, except the volume. I'm using Sound Forge to do the mastering, is there anything I can do to boost the volume but in a way that it won't alter the actual mix too much?

Correct position of SRC in the Mastering Chain
Hello my question is
When should I convert to 44,1 kHz when product should be an Audio CD ?
Before my Mastering-Chain or as the last step in Mastering, before Dithering.
http://src.infinitewave.ca/ is an interesting link on Tests for this item
Best regards
Thomas
How many mastering orders do you fill in a month?
Just wondering, on average how many mastering orders do you think a normal mastering studio fills in a month?
Should I get my CD mastered?
I know mastering really does make a difference but I'm on a budget and I think my mixes sound pretty good. But...if it really would make it sound THAT much better then I would want to get it done. But I want to know if it is worth it. Since I know everyone here is a pro at what they do and I trust your skills here is the link to a .wav of a solid mix from my album.

One-bit Audio Consortium - the future of SACD?
Hi,
I have noted that Korg in relation to their presentation of the MR-1000 on their webpages mention something called the "One-bit Audio Consortium".
Anybody who knows about this?
SACD mastering software
Hi,
I'm considering recording audio in the DSD format and would like to know how I transfer the recorded files to files that are put on an SACD. My searches on the internet have not revealed much software that do this (whatever the reason for that?)

Hi-pass filters on the master fader?
High Pass Filters?
I was looking at a frequency analyzer while playing a few commercially released tunes. I noticed a stark drop-off around 20 kHz.
Is anyone out there using a high pass filter at 20 k? If so, why?
Thanks,
ENW
