ok, so i'm using Adobe Audition 3 for all of my recording, mixing, and my somewhat rough, improperly trained attempt at mastering. - but hey, i'm doing it all to learn from anyway.

after adding some limiters and stuff and i get my level fairly hot, i was wondering. should i dither?

First, I've done some searches on here and tailored the question to represent such.
Second, "minimum" is meant to be a flexible term.

I know I have broached this topic before, but this is a slightly different angle.

Now, I made the mistake before of recording at 48khz and then trying to down-sample to 44.1khz and found that I did not like it at all.

Then someone hooked me up with Voxengo's R8Brain which did my conversions for me much slicker than I could previously and fixed my problems.

Really sorry if this is answered elsewhere, but I couldn't find it & I need help!

Basically I'm looking for the best way to make copies of our CD AT HOME (for now). We've had it mastered professionally, sounds great, but while we are waiting for art work etc. to be done and have it all copied by a pro I want to make some copies for the rest of the band, select friends etc...

I have a knowledge problem.

I have been recording in a Boss BR900CD and it records in 24 bit. I've done 2 tracks for a friend of mine and she is going to put them on her forthcoming debut album. Obviously I'm relatively new to recording.
