Which PLEXTOR CD-drive for mastering studio?
Hi all,
I need a suggestion which type of PLEXTOR CD-drive is optimal for mastering studio.
I've been resolved to PX-716UF, but (is said) it is ending type yet and I'm not sure what else to buy.
Thanks for any opinion.

Low-end cutting
Hi mastering-guys (and girls)
maybe it is the marginal mastering question but I am interesting which low-end frequencies commonly are you cutting off? Does exist some RED BOOK standard for it?

A simple EQ question.
I hope it's okay to post a mixing question here. I have been around RO a while so I'm not trolling.
So I'm mixing(my own stuff).
The beginning of the song is just voice and a guitar, I leave in a fair bit of low end, so it's not all thin and pasty. I want to hear the fullness of both as they stand on their own.

Mastering Questions
Basically I'm working with this artist from charlotte for my single and we are recording @ different spots seeing how I'm from Pennsylvania. So... can I juss giv him the beat .wav to record his vocals and then when I go to get everything mastered have the beat and all the the vocal tracks separated? Or do all tracks need to be separated when he goes to record and same for me?

Consistent Burning Results
Hey all -
Just thought I'd share (I like to do that...)
I've been testing a lot of different discs on a lot of different speeds to get the best results and I think I have found what works for me so far. (It should work for you too - all the tests I did were at least performed twice to account for any anomolies.)

Imaging question
I have an old X/Y recording where an acoustic bassist in a folk group was on the right of a trio. Anyone have any ideas if I can center the bass - most of the power is in the R channel
