Whos gonna start off this discussion?. What the hell is gonna happen to all budding new musicians and small record labels with very limited cash looking to find a sweet marketable band to put love and time into, is this another nail in the coffin of the independent label?

I sow someweare it can be done with WavesStereo Imager but its not accurately... Is there a way to get exactly the same RMS on both channels?

How does owning the master recording relate to:
- owning the copyright of the song
- receiving performance / mechanical royalties
- controlling points on a record deal

As a producer and co-writer of a song, should I be a part owner, full owner, or non-owner of the master recordings? Whats the difference between these options?

I'm mixing a project where 2 songs segue together, but I don't want to have an audio break for CD ID. Can I do an ID with Jam? It's going to be mastered by someone else, but I was wanting to do a quick pseudo master for demo purposes.

I am using Sound Forge to master. I would like the L2 to dither the songs down to 16 bit from 24 bit (48K). I have selected 16 Bits, Type 1, and Moderate shaping. After I process the audio, Sound Forge says it is still in 24 bit, 48k. How do you get the L2 to dither it to 16 bits?
