I'm a sound engineering student in Piteå, northern Sweden. We've recently (last year) built a new concert hall with adjustable inner ceiling; from 1 to 2,4s RT60. This is very nice... And I love making recordings in this all-wood space.
If you are interested, I could perhaps upload some samples?

I have set up a sort of home recording studio in my bedroom and am looking for some small condenser mics to round out my collection for now. I have an AKG perception 400, and a d112, and 2 sm57s. I plan to get 2 small condensers to use as overheads, and also for acoustic guitar possibly. I am in need of some advice on what options I have.

hey guys, I'm new here and was having problems w/ a mic i just bought... its a nady sp1 mic that i got w/ the nady sp1 mic/stand package from musician's friend-- to test it out, i plugged it in to the Planet Waves XLR to 1/4 adapter and put that into the line in of my Crate amp...

what would happen in this case, if I where to mike a drum set and set the overheads up as 2 omnidirectional mics in an XY coincident position?

I am curious many people refer to mics as being flat or warm or colorful. What does this mean. Some say flat is better some say it should be warm.

Does anyone have audio samples used with what one would consider a flat mic, and then the same done in a warm mic. This would be a great post especiialy for new people to the world of Microphones.

I am looking into doing some fairly serious Podcasting, and I am looking for quality. I have picked out a decent Preamp, that fits my budget and am now looking into mics. I am not going to singing into my Mic, Only speaking but I want the audio quality clear, and hopefully warm sounding.

I don't know much about recording and I was wondering what you guys though of the Neumann U87. I had herd good things about it and I was woundering if it was as good as people say?

I am currently running a cad condenser mic into the PreSonus bluetube preamp, into my compressor, then into my mbox. I am hearing some weird high pitched hum that won't go away? any thought to what this could be from? i check the connections and the cables are fairly new. Any help would be awesome thanks again!
