NEED HELP WITH Mic DELAY
I use Sony acid, and every time I record vocals I know my timing is on point, but when I hear the playback the vocals are either delayed or ahead of the beat. I've tried every thing but nothing has worked. Do you guys know what the problem is?

Nady Ribbon Mics
There are cheap as dirt? Worth the money for something a little different?
I am looking at the Nady RSM-2. its $200. I mean I really can not go wrong. But I also don't want to be left thinking that i could have gotten a pair of 57s with that cash. And we can all use more 57s.

MBox Micro? Any ideas...
I bring the Mbox Micro up because I am a Cubase/PC user, but I want to learn and MIX in Pro Tools without buying another interface. I own a PreSonus Firestudio and any tracking I will do with that (at least for the near future). I am familiar with Pro Tools but I don't spend nearly as much time on it as I do Cubase.
THE QUESTION:

Decca tree stereo mic set-up with three omnis
Hello,
I am new to this forum and wanted to ask if it is possible to use two different brands when recording with three omnis in a stereo decca tree set-up?
I want to use two Sanken omnis for the sides and one spot Earthworks mic in the middle.
They all have a flat frequency response.
Please help identify this Mic
I purchased this mic at a garage sale, but the seller could not tell me what kind of system it went to. I am hoping that someone here can give me some guidance on identifing the mic either through testing or through visual inspection.

mic straight to Digi 003
I am using a Digi 003 rack and a AKG perception 200 mic. I noticed that when recording vocals that they sound a little thin. Am I suppsoed to be using a preamp in between the two or is it recommended? On second thought could it be the mic?

Micing & recording grand piano
I have to run sound for a quintet. Violin, DoubleBass, Elec GTR, Acordeon(Bandoneon) and Acoustic Grand Piano.
We will be on tour in many locations around Europe and China, but first we must make some gigs at my country, Argentina.
The range of Pianos we use goes from Ronish 1/4 to Steinway 1/2.

XY technique with side-address condenser microphones
Hi,
I am trying to figure out the right way to use my AT2020 side address microphones in an XY technique for drum overheads. I just can't seem to understand it by reading articles about it because none of the microphones in the diagrams are side-address.
Also, is XY the best technique the best for drum overheads?
Thanks to anyone that can help me!
