Multi Mic Vocal Recording? Whats a good setup?
I was hoping to experiment with using 2 mics for my vocal recordings. I have always used my soundelux u-195 as my main vocal mic, as it is the best mic I own, but I used to use a studio projects c-1 and I kinda liked that sound a bit too. The u-195 is definitley smoother, but the brightness of the c-1 seems to sound pretty nice on my voice as well...
Electric Guitar Mics & Pitch Correcting?
Hi everyone,
I'm just about to start a project that is going to twist my rubber arm to buy more gear!
I was hoping for some recommendations...
1) I need a nice mic for electric guitars. Has anybody compared the Royer R-122 to the 121? Is it worth the extra $500? Any other suggestions?

Vocal Recording: Using multiple mics in each take?
Hey everyone, first time poster, love the site! Have a quick (hopefully ) question regarding vocal recording technique.
Best TUBE mic for under 900?
Hey there,
I'm looking to add a Tube mic to my home studio set up. I will (at least fro the first little while) be running it directly into my Digi 002R. Eventually I'll invest in a nice mic preamp. I'll be using it mainly for voice over work, but would also like to record vocals for music projects as well.

RODE Mike
I just had to put my 2 cents infor anyone thinking of getting new mikes. My wife and I decided instead of buying each other presents for Christmas this year we would give each other money this year and we would buy what we wanted for Christmas. Of course I wanted studio stuff so last night I went and bought a RODE NT-1-A and a matched pair of NT-5s along with some other stuff.

Inexpensive drum mics
I'm trying to get ahold of some drum mics on a $200-300-ish budget... Any recommendations? I understand that just about anything that I get is going to be pretty low end, not to great, but then again, neither is my setup, and I'm just 16... working with band from my school on a demo, and some friends need stuff recorded to send off to colleges. How is the Shure PG kit?

Neumann KM84 substitute?
Anybody have any ideas on a reasonable substitute for old KM84 SDC mic. I really like the sound of this mic om acoustic fiddle but dang they are pricey and hard to find in good condition. I really like the unhyped top end this mic exhibits.
I've tried the KM184 and it is not the same beast at all. Any clues on a reasonably priced substitute SDC mic ?
