Shotgun microphones for video camera?
Hey everyone, I got a Panasonic TM-700 for xmas and I really want to get a shotgun mic for it so I can have some solid audio quality to go along with the great video that it takes. I don't know what to look for at all so any help / models to compare would be greatly appreciated!

Synchronized Microphone Array--Ideas and Tips Needed
Hi,
I am going to start off by saying I am a pHD student in evolutionary biology, so my knowledge of acoustics and what not are minimal at this point. I am enrolled in an engineering noise control class this semester to fix that.
Thoughts on dynamic EQ's
I am looking at getting a dynamic EQ, quite possibly Voxengo's GlissEQ, but I do not have a complete understanding of the dynamic aspect. My best interpretation from what I have read is that if the dynamic function is fully engaged, the EQ (say if there is a boost at 2Khz) will only be applied to the peaks and not the average content at that frequency. Is this correct?

Electro-Voice N/D767 vs. N/D367 for Vocals
I have a Electro-Voice N/D767a microphone that I really love. It sounds great for live vocals but I wanted to know about the N/D367. I work a lot with female vocalists and I have two in my band and I have read that the 367 sounds great for females.

RODE NT5 vs. Oktave MK-012 for overheads/acoustic guitar
I'm trying to decide between the nt5's and the mk012, mp.
I need something that I can also use on acoustic guitar and overheads, and some day I'll get a better SDC for acoustic guitars etc. But for now I need something that will work well with both.
Need advice buying entry-level microphone
I am planing on recording vocals of a male singing rap, r&b, and alternative rock. I also want to record acoustic guitar and maybe other sound effects from outside (maracas, rocks, tools, dings, etc..)
I want to buy specifically a condenser microphone.
I did some research, and here is the list of microphones that I want to narrow down to the mic I will buy:

Location recording with a USB condenser microphone - help please?
First post - go easy on me please :)
I've just bought an iPad (woohoo!).
One of the main things I intend to use it for is on-location recording: found sounds for samples, and for spoken word interviews. I am a complete beginner at this - assume I know nothing and you'll be spot on. My background is in music production using Reason & Record, but I want to branch out.
choosing wireless mic frequency range Canada
I'm ordering a Sennheiser Evolution Wireless vocal system and have three choices in frequency ranges. This will be my first of a few wireless systems I will get over the next few years.
How do I know which range to choose from for Canada?
A range (516-558 MHz), B range (626-668 MHz) and G range (566-608 MHz).
