Recording into Logic with the O1V96

I want to multi-track record at least 12 simultaneous tracks into Logic Pro 8 through the Yamaha O1V96. I am able to get Logic to communicate with the O1V96 but Logic will not allow me to select the O1V96 as a core audio device. What do I need or need to do in order to make this happen? I currently have it hooked up via USB. Thanks

Pro Tools: " Sound Better Now"

Well. .that's the slogan anyway. There is a presentation and official launch of Pro Tools 10 and HDX. As much as I love to bash Pro Tools, I sincerely think this new platform will be a game changer. The new HDX cards are seriously powerful and Disc Cache is going to make a big difference in the way people work with audio. Once they go the full 64bit, there will be no stopping them.

problem mixing/mastering live multitrack recording... help?

I'm recording a live venue every week using a Fostex LR16 and bring the multitrack files home to mix using Audacity. I know it's a free program, but I'm hesitant to spend money until I get past a certain learning curve. I can get a decent mix, but when I export the mix as an MP3, it sounds funny. Sounds like "waves"...
