To my surprise Avid has already release Pro Tools 10; Wow! Has anyone using Pro Tools made the upgrade yet? If so please let me know how it’s working out. I thought I at least had another month or so to work in 9 seems like just yesterday I upgraded form 8; not that I’m complaining.

I'm seeking advice in my home studio upgrade, and I figure this is the best place to come for some help.

From about 2004 until recently I have been recording with the original MBox and Pro Tools LE. While it served its purpose, I've been generally unhappy with the sound I've gotten out of it.

I done this short video of a track by Canadian singer/songwriter Jen Calder, she has no band, not even a bass guitar, so we used Cubase and a bunch of plugins to get around this problem. It starts with all plugins bypassed, and I gradually bring them in.

I've been considering buying a pitch correction tool for a few years. What are the pro and cons with the current versions available? Which one is more transparent?

OK, I have a Roland VS-1680 which I've learned how to use. I want to try to use autotune for vocals. I know they have a module but it they don't make it anymore and it's too expensive to find.

I'd like to know how exactly I could use a standalone Autotune box with that recorder and if there's one recommended that's worthwhile and can be bought cheaply used.

I've completed work on a batch of home recorded songs and I've mixed them on and off as I've recorded as opposed to doing it all at once from scratch.

I want to get that atmospheric sound to it where it feels like the sound is all around you, so I'm not sure how much I should be panning tracks left and right or how drastically to do it.

Hello, I recently acquired two 1/2", 8 track machines - a Tascam TSR-8 and a Tascam 38. Both are in very good condition.

I own a de-magnetizer and I know the heads will have to be de-magnetized occasionally as well as cleaning of the metal and rubber moving parts in the tape path.
