To anyone:

I think a few of you have been using the native version of this. I had sort of ignored it as a mastering/2_bus plugin , and that's not really my thing. But since it was introduced on the UAD platform I took a closer look and it looks like it might be useful for me. In addition to the M/S processing for the 2-bus it has M/S decoding for tracking.

Need your input! Im looking for a little guidance/insight on how to upgrade my 'semi-pro setup' to 'all-Pro'. I've been recording clients for the past two years with this setup, and I've come a long way in skills, but its time to upgrade audio "quality", particularly with regards to conversion. I only use 8 microphone inputs at any one time.

If you are using PT9.0 with a UAD card and plugins you owe it to yourself to download the new UAD 6.0 release. The plugins are now all RTAS compatible. The implementation was great with all of the RTAS plugins replacing the corresponding wrapped versions and preserving all the settings in sessions where they were in use.

Am I nuts, or is there no way to invert the phase of a track in Samp11 Producer?

I upgraded from Samplitude 10SE awhile back, to 11 Producer version. I was pretty happy with 10, but the every so often I'd hit a limitation with the number of plugins I was able to use, etc. I'm a little surprised that my "upgrade" somehow has lost me that function...

I've been playing drums since 2002, guitar 2008, bass 2010, and piano early this year.
I've always mixed my own music, and always have fun with it. Though, most of the time I have a hard time with it.
My problems are usually, when everything is mixed, it usually sounds very.."dirty." What I mean is, it everything sounds sort of put together and isn't clean.

I am a guitar player, not a drummer. I don't own a drum set. However, the music I like to create usually needs custom drum tracks for accents and alternative rhythms.
There are tons of software drum machines around, however most are programmable using the beat grid. When I see that grid, all inspiration for recording is gone. Forget it. It always ends up sounding fake anyway.

I recorded this session (drums, not the electronic track) in Pro Tools HD, and wanted to try mixing it in Ableton for fun. I'm still new to mixing (mixing WELL, that is).
