So. anyone had a chance to put a Cygnus X-2 through some studio work? Any opinions?

Ok, So i'm helping a friend mix an album iside the box( nuendo) and we really love using a lot of plugins and fx sends. The problem is, as is always, that some mixes require a lot more processing due mostly to how creative we like to get with mixes. Now, we have been looking for a way to "share the load" per say and ran into fx teleport.

Ive read that using rewire technology that it is possible to connect software that support rewire. Would someone assist me to how it works especially between adobe adutition and Cubase sx as the both support the technology?

Has anyone had problems with these disc recorders? I have a secondhand one that seems very temperamental. The carrier keeps opening and closing with a 'check' error coming up. Sometimes it burns a a disc ok, and sometimes it won't even read a commercial disc. If I switch it off it still has a problem, until the next day when it works again.

I'm thinking of getting Arturia Brass software to get some fun riffs into ska songs buuuut I dont know if it would do good for me?

Just want to ask something about plugins.I went a bit crazy a few months ago downloading every free vst i could find.Lots of nice stuff and lots of crap of course.Now fl studio 6 is working really slowly.can too many vsts affect it? even when I'm not using them? :)

and also any recommendations that specifically use VERY VERY lowwwwwww cpu power

Hey, quick question. How do I set up a track so that my singer's listening to some reverb and compression on his vocals, but none is getting recorded in Pro Tools? I know i can do this without having to record 2 tracks at a time.

I've heard rumors that someone is developing/selling a digital remake of the early 80's loft 450 delay/chorus rack unit. Anyone know of this?
