Fast Track Pro and Pro Tools M-powered & Acid home studi
Forums
I have been using a Roland 1880 for years now and I have decided to slowly move over to computer (pc) based recording. I track drums and full bands on the 1880 and will eventually want to be able to do that on the PC. For now due to the lack of funds I was thinking of getting the Fast track Pro interface and Pro-tools M-powered. Is this a recommended route?
Multi band compression/expansion
Forums
I need a primer on multi band compression/expansion. I have heard it is good for removing unwanted reflections from dialog recordings, but I'm a little muzzy on the hows and whys. Any insight would be appreciated.

Studio gear Pro Con
Forums
So Me and a friend are building a new studio, smaller in size, mostly low budget. I made a list of mostly all round mics, but high quality. The guy at the store gave us "better" options. What I would like, is a professional opinion on the gear we would like, and the gear he thinks is better...
Our choices.

Reason. Making beats to music
Forums
How would i go about making a beat in reason and trying to match it up to outside music? From what I know you cant bring audio files into reason to just have play and play along to using redrum etc. I have a session in pro tools le that i want to add a beat to but want to be able to make something to it while hearing it. Thanks

Problemes with mixing guitars
Forums
My band just recorded some songs in the studio, and we have some difficulties with mixing the guitars. The songs where we use acoustic, and clean guitars sounds really good, but the songs with overdrive/ crunch guitars sounds very muddy. This is really quite strange because the guitars sounded really open and raw while we where recording them, but they just sound tame in the mix.

Forums
I wanted to know if it's possible to import automation settings from one PT session to another? Has any one tried it before? If so could you give me a short rundown? Thanks.

I'm at that point where my gear is in danger of being thrown off an 8 story building. Someone help me please. I can't seem to find the options for the MIDI controller.

Forums
Hello, I'm new here and I love visiting this place!
Well, I want to buy some Neve stuff and I'm very interested on getting a pair of 1073 but I saw in a site here in France (I'm french) that there is a Neve 44 mixer on sale.
I don't have a lot of informations but I know that there is 20 channels and a compressor on output I think.
