in my search for an affordable, quality power amp to run my old yorkville YSM1s i have narrowed down to the Hafler p-1500 (or maybe the p-1000) and the ART SLA-1. The SLA-1 is the recommended match for the YSM1s (made by the same company, duh). both have had good reviews. any suggestions either way?
i might also try to repair this old bryton 3b up for sale in my area.

Im going to be inheriting a Powerbook G4, with a 1.3gig processor and 768 megs of ram. I plan on getting the M Box 2 with Pro Tools 7, and also using BFD drum software, should this computer be able to handle my recording needs? any suggestions?

Which material of casing would you buy to protect ur Instrument/equipments given that it will be used for touring also long term storage. ABS or Wood? Anyone have experience to judge which ones are more durable and resistant to abuse.

I've got a lovely sounding vmp-4000e pre, but have lately discovered a low volume intermittent static coming from channel 2 and some hum in channel 3. Channels 1 & 4 sound clear. I have only just put in an email to Seb, but wondering if anyone else has encountered this in a preamp and what it could indicate?

Ok, so my guitarist is absolutely in love with the distortion he gets out of his small 15 watt fender amp. so heres the problem, how to work the fender amp distortion into his pedal board so that the sound could be router either to the fender amp and then through the rest of his effects, or around the fender amp and straight to his effects pedals.
