Hi guys,

does anyone make a 'holder' which would go on one mic stand, have 2 mic holders at 90° to each other and be simple to line up so one could just snap in a pair of 57's or pencil condensers or what have you and then line up the crosshairs or whatever, hold your tongue in the right way, and badda-boom badda-bing: X-Y perfect every time.

I use my Fostex for simple ideas... but mainly Pro Tools. But the 7th channel XLR input of my VF16- failed to work & needs repair! The 1/4" input works but I want ALL inputs to work for the only 2 XLR I have, Does anyone know or suggest a reasonable & reliable aurhorized Center in California? I've looked at their web page for centers & yjrtr'd plenty. just thought I'd ask.

i seem to be having probs when it comes to recording certain sounds from fm7 on Sonar 4, specifically #56 which is the Harmonic Union preset.
when i play it, as in actually using a keyboard to play something, and directly monitoring it, it sounds fine.
but upon playback of the just recorded, its not playing all the notes.

I am 15 years old. I hope to be a full time studio engineer and live sound man.

This is my current setup: (its all crap)

• Behringer UB2442FX Mixer
• Fostex MR8 8 track recorder
• Peavey 2000 Escort PA
• Shure PG Drum Mics

And a lot of other cheap stuff..

For anyone interested, Musicians Friend has Wavelab Essential for $99. It goes for $199 everywhere else I've seen. I would get it fast because it apprears to be a scew up on their part.

I moved my computer and in the process had to disconnect and reconnect everything.
Turned on computer, opened Cubase music software, Layla was not recognized.

Reinstalled drivers but at end of driver installation I get message :

This device cannot start Code 10

Anyone know how to resolve this?

I RECENTLY BEGAN TO DO ALOT OF BUSING TO MY AUX. CHANNELS AND FOR SOME REASON THE I/O BEGAN SETTING ITSELF AFTER I LEFT THE FILE. THIS IS BRINGING ON PROBLEMS WITH LATENCY AND A STRANGE CONFIGURATION SHOWING 18 CHANNELS IN USE WHEN I DON'T HAVE THAT MANY IN OPERATION. WHAT AM I DOING TO MYSELF? I KNOW ITS ME SHOOTING MYSELF IN THE FOOT BUT I AM NOT SURE HOW.
