I'm new to this forum and have enjoyed reading the different posts and picking up jewels here and there. I'm asking for recommendations from the knowledgeable people here on any upgrades that would enhance what I already own. I mainly work with hip hop artists and record some live guitar/bass here and there. Anyway here's my setup.

DAW - Sonar 4 Producer
Mics - Studio Projects T3, MXL v63M, RODE NT1a, SM57, Studio Projects C4, AKG Drum mic kit (includes D112, C419, 3 C418)
Monitors - Tannoy J Protypes

Issue:
Two MOTU 896HD units=Stutter on playback. Stutter location intermittent and moves locations.

I recently purchased a XLogic Channel.
The other day, I crancked the pre up to record some soft voice over and started to hear the radio.

I was reading an old post on PT versus Native systems, and i was wondering, compatability aside, if you were purely going for highest quality, and you had to start from scratch, would anyone buy a high-endPT system, or would you by a Native system for much less, and buy the converters you want, and still have cash for pre's, etc.

I'm used to mixing in the box and having virtually unlimited aux sends. I'm thinking about getting a budget console, I've been looking at the Ghost or the Venice, but I was wondering about the Midas Venice for example. I've read these specs:

4 Subgroups
2 Aux Pre-Fader (Monitor)
2 Aux Post-Fader (Effects)
2 Aux switchable Pre/Post-Fader

I orderd two Vintech X73i's and a raxxess rack from Sweetwater a month ago today, and they are STILL back ordered. My sales engineer has e-mailed or called weekly, but I am getting extremely frustrated. The raxxess was supposed to arrive at sweetwater on the 18, but it didn't come in and they have had no word on the Vintechs at all. They were supposed to be back ordered for three weeks.

We have been purchasing equipment now for 2 years because we want to be able to do a "project"!

I play drums and sing and my wife sings. We know plenty of good to excellent musicians and singers in our area. These are people who are performing, recording and have recorded. Our genre is Gospel Music and our taste in gospel runs to the top 10 artists.

Opinions on any of the Neve clones out there?

I have a pair of Neve's which I love but I'm in the market for some clones. What's the best bang for your buck? Vintech? Seventh Circle? Great River? Any others?
