I have bougth a new harddisc for music.

Too keep it short this is my question:

Can anyone tell if it can be an advantage using two harddiscs, when the one is used for internet and antivirus and oth stuff in the "same time"?

The other option i have is to run two seperate OS's and use the new clean disc for music only (Storage and Programrun)

so I'm looking at getting the KLIPSCH PROMEDIA 2.1 PC MULTIMEDIA SPEAKER SYSTEM for my computer to use for just computer sounds and then use my monitors for mixing.

Im really interested in one of B.l.u.e. 's Mics (babybottle or bluebird)

but people tell me that they are not good for hip hop / rap "spitting"

thats who i work with!

can someone let me know the truth before i shell out some $$$

I bought an Oktava MKL5000 and it was complete crap so the seller replaced it. The new one was ok, but the noise performance was not as good as I had hoped, so I decided to mess around with different valves. What really surprised me was how different each valve sounded.

I tried Mullard EF95s, and while they were too noisey, the sound was very rich and full.

I am waiting on my copy of kontakt 2. i am not to familiar with either kontakt 2 or mach 5.

here is my situation:
G5 dual 1.8 2GB Ram 2nd drive for audio 7200RPM SATA

digital performer 4.5 and uad card

which runs with more stability? which is a better sounding unit? any feedback would be of great help.

KONTAKT 2 OR MACH 5 AND WHY?

A friend is offering me a Tascam US122 Audio/MIDI Interface and Logic Express 6 for a total of $200. Obviously, I would be saving money as this is a $4-500 value, but would you recommend these products for home recording?

I havn't bought yet and I am deciding between the project and studio paks...

the plugs I'm using are the Kjuher(sp?)-audio classic series plugs, and from what I've read and heard the UA plugs should be quite an improvement.

so, which plugs would i get the most immediate bennefit from?

I have used different recording software, but not to the point where I know them all really good. I've used Nuendo, cubase, and Sonar 3 prod edition, and Magix studio 6,7, and the 2004 version...

Okay, so I've been doing this stuff for a while now (if you count from the first day I hit the record and play button at the same time it would be 20 years, but professionally about 10) and I've seen and heard a lot about gear crapping out over time.
