Hi ..I am looking to set up my new laptop (powerbook G4 17") to be able to record my 3 piece punk band. I will be using Logic Express.

I want to be able to record drums with bass simultaneously before adding guitar/vocals etc..so...ie. 6-8 mics on drums..and one on bass guitar recording at the same time. - possibly recording a guide vocal track also at the same time.

I've connected my PC running Cubase SX2 with my MIDI controller keyboard - Evolution MK449C through USB. The MIDI out from the keyboard is connected to the MIDI in of an AKAI MPC2000.

Its really a neet idea.. I wonder if it works as good as it states on the web site. I also wonder if you can use it to capture the sound of other types of hardware like mic preamps... Probably not, but its still pretty neet.

I have a voice project I need to do in 8 bit, 8K. Everything I normally record is 44.1K, 16 bit or even 96K, 24 Bit but in downsampling the quality is terrible. We have SoundForge which can work that low, but we need some hardware to work with. No more request than we have for this we don't want to spend more than we have too.

Im trying to sync my Fostex VF160 mixing console with Cubase sx 2.0 using midi a single midi cable, is this enough?. Midi out from Audigy zs sound card to Midi in on the desk. I've been wrecking my brain going around all the sync settings on cubase, I think the desk settings are fine, but it aint syncing. Any help with this would be much appreciated.

I used this Plugin on the Drum Bus and I was very imperessed.
Sounds very nice and clear to me.
Did anybody made an experience with this Plugin with any Instrument?

Just starting out and have compression question...My Boss br1600 has a compressor on individual channels for vocals, but there is no numbers labeled on the attack, threshold, and oh... I forgot the 3rd choice. In thinking "Clock" terms where would these settings need to be for 2:1 or 3:1 compression ratio? I hope you understood this cuz i sure as hell don't... Thanks!

I'm hoping someone can help me for free or for fee. I'm in need of a MIDI environment for Logic that will enable my Souncraft 328XD to be used as a controller. I've tried multiple scenerios and I've finally given up. The environement on SOundcraft's website is for the old 328 and is a peice of crap.

Is it fair to compare say an ad122 vs an Apogee200?

i was looking into the lavry's and the price is so much higher than the apogee's

does anyone run the Lavry? and can a comape and contrast be done to an Apogeeunit?
