anyone have any feedback on using these with a PC system? i will be running it on the following machine:

P4 3.2
2GB DDR2
915 chipset
geforce 6800
2 firewire ports
4 usb 2.0 ports

would like to run Sonar 4 unless some sees why i should get Cubase sx3? i already have Sonar 3 and was going to upgrade...

I'm curious about the sound used on some Jennifer Lopez records -esp. Jenny from the Block. While she has a very unremarkable voice, I think it is beautifully recorded in this case. I love that almost wispy quality -an antidote to all of those fat sounding vocals, yet it's not thin.

Who has heard both of these and what do you think?

hi guys, after the studio i work in moved interstate, i decided to set up my own DAW (commercial as well as own use). i'm trying to keep things as high-endas possible, and after thinking for a while, came up with this as a gear list. i'd love to get opinions on anything or everything, like if you think something is lacking or not up to par with the rest of the stuff.

alright, got my ISA 428. Loving it. Now i'm looking for a compressor, or possible a channel strip with a very good compressor in it. I'm looking for something that will give my my drum samples major phatness. I was thinking maybe a thick Neve type piece to complement my ISA 482.

I am going to buy a digi 002r and cannot decide if I should get the factory bundle, or if I should skip that and get the Waves Musician's Bundle II. I have asked this on the DUC forum as well, but haven't heard much, just looking for more input. Thanks

so ive decided to put my foot in the door with recording and after much thought chose p.c over mac mostley cause its way cheaper.

This might be a question for Mr. French since he is also a Cubase/Nuendo guy.

Right now I'm only using the stock compressor in Cubase SX and was wondering if there is a better compressor plug out there, and what makes it better?

Does anyone know how to operate the proteus x as a vst in cubase

MOTU 2408 mk3 I think this is the one for me I was also was considering the EMU 1820M but after coming across a lot of bad reviews and the brink of conspiracy I don't think I'll be going that route...who knows?do you,lol.
