I'm thinking about purchasing Digidesign's LE rack. I have a bunch of outboard gear (ie EQ, Compression, etc). I've looked on the back for aux in's and didn't notice any. Does it work well with outboard analog gear.

Any advice on importing/exporting presets in either of these programs? I had to reinstall Adobe (CEPro) and don't really have the time/inclination to reconfigure everything.

I ordered a Apogee Rosetta AD. It has an S/PDIF output option. Currently I have an M-Audio Delta 66 card in my DAW. It has an S/PDIF input. Can I use that input without worry that the consumer level card will destroy the pro level conversion the Rosetta is doing? Or would I need to upgrade to something like a Lynx AES 16 type card?

1 : Are spline based curves not allowed in automation ? and is the resolution of 1024 steps enough when logic claims sample accurate automation ?

2: I want to use stereo sidechaining but can't see a way to do so in the same way as in Cubase e.g. crunchessor. Are only the builtin effects allowed for surround configurations ?

I'm recording with an MS 16 1" multitrack and the AQ 65 Autolocate.
I'm having probs with the autolocate. It won't accept instruction and is flashing randomly and rapidly whilst giving random commands to the machine.I wonder if there's a way to reset it.
Any ideas.
