Has anyone noticed that PT LE 6.7 seems to autocompensate for pluginsand when going da/ad thru an outboard piece? I must have missed the memo. I take a tone in a track, insert Autotune 4, bus it to another track and record it and it is only 38 samples late, less than 1 ms. It used to take 2000 samples!

Hi, i'm working in a small studio and have the following setup:

1 x 16 tr fostex recorder
1 x 8 tr fostex recorder
1 x Mackie 24x8 bus analog desk
1 x Mackie 24 channel extension

with some external compressors, fx, etc

I'm kind of new at this, so please forgive me - and let me know - if I'm not making sense.

I’m in the process of preparing a theater piece – piano, horns, strings, woodwinds, drums and vocals. I wanted to do it completely on the computer (maybe not the piano...) I already have a good system. I wanted to know what would be a good choice of program(s).

Just record a dry signal of your part and you can always return to it and change the tone by sending it back through and reprocessing the signal.

what is a dry signal

i have an intel pentium 4 2.4 ghz 533 bus speed onboard 256mb ram onboard vga sound.(onboard sound i dont use)
80gb IDE hard drive,sblive 5.1
it's not yet for my personal use so i have trouble working on it.

These are the two brands, there parts and services are easily available here.

i was looking into possible getting DP4.5 and i thought it included some plugs ie Ultra Focus because when you are on their site and you go into DP 4.5 it has a section called "Featured Plugins" which to me meant that DP 4.5 features these plugins...

I run an M-Audio Delta 44 in my home studio and i recently bought some active monitors that i run out of ouputs 1/2 on my Delta. I still have outputs 3/4 free and i would like to be able to run a headphone amplifier off of these free outputs. However, I'm having much difficulty getting all four output ports to operate at the same time.

I am running a Digidesign digi 01 Pro Tools system on a G4 Mac in OS9. Each time I create or open a Pro Tools session, within minutes the system freezes. I've tried running the sessions on a Lacie external drive and the same happens. Should I upgrade the digi 01 to OSX which I do have on my G4 or should I throw my computer out the window? Please advise. Thanks
