I've found Groove Tubes makes a couple (GT33/GT44), but I can't really find any info on them on the 'net or anyone who's used them. They're reasonably priced at least.

I'm running Cubase SX 2.0 and I'm looking for a different program to use. I hardly ever use midi, and this program seems to focus around midi. It also doesn't seem to have a lot of editing power compared to Cool Edit. I use a Tascam FW 1884 so I want something that I can still use my board with.

Okay, so I am still debating between a PC and a Mac for my new studio. I am very interested in going the "Bandwagon" Pro-tools LE route with the Digidesign 002 firewire interface. I will be doing a lot of acoustical recording (vocals guitars drums) and some midi work with my Triton and X3 keyboards.

I am looking to invest in a 2 Track deck to mixdown from Digital. I know Fostex and Ampex gear is out there to be found, but I'm curious, being new to Analog ownership, what can be purchased new and from what companies. Specifically looking for a 2 Track 1/2" deck, but open to suggestions from folks using something similar for their mixes.

Funny, I just noticed this unit while browsing one of the online retailers, and forgive me if my lack of experience (w/top shelf gear) really shows here but, does it not seem like a killer deal for $1400? If a 6176 retails for $2200, it makes me wonder, did they cut any corners to achieve this?

so i live in portugal and getting here in europe stuff is usually more expensive that in usa
but i have a cousin in boston and she's coming for xmas... :D
