I was just wondering what the professionals thought about the Propellerhead recording software that is availible, I dled some screen shots and the only thing I can tell you is that it looks neat lol... what do you guys think? 8)

I've got a promblem recording. I'm recording with a Mbox to my G4powerbook with my Shure ksm27. the mike recording is super! but the sound on the 2nd source plug that the guitar is going into on the Mbox no matter what i seem to do there is a buzzing noice. the goal is to be able to have clear sound without that buzzing so i don't have to take it out later.

Hi all, this is my first post and I must say I love this forum! I am looking to upgrade my studio with new preamps soon. Probably mostly Sebatron s and Vintech. The setup is recording analog into an Alesys HD24 then firewire the track files to the PC and Cubase SX for mixing. I'm trying to decide if I need a "high-end " mixing board though. Right now I'm using a Behringer MX-9000.

Untill I can afford my next purchase - a Speck XtraMix, I need a way to access my semi-vintage outboard processors, thru my DAW without re-cabling all the time. I have limited IN/OUTs via soundcard (RME).

But in the meantime, as far as mixers, I picked up these 2 tools (used/cheap):

I was wondering if anyone has any opinion on the relative merits of these two mics.

I've heard a few people complain that the Neumann stereo pairs are not always matched very well. Instead you get consecutive serial numbers and hope for the best, although the differences are slight. I was wondering if this was true or not.
