Hey Everyone,

Not new to recording, but very new to computer recording. Can anyone recommend a great book on building my own PC recording DAW, or info on Mac? (can you tell I am still undecided? )

I'm using an Audigy Sound Blaster Platinum Z sound card in my pc. The mixer is a Behringer--EURODESK MX3282A
32-Channel 8-Bus Mixing Console and I also have a Tascam MSR-16-- Reel to Reel.

Anybody know of any quality free plugins? Is anyone familiar with the Blockfish plugs?

Anyone out there happen to own a Finalizer from TC Electronics,if so,how do you like it? and does it really work for you. 8-)

Has anyone come across this? It's on the Lavry website, and costs around $250. It's interesting to see something like this from one of the most prestigious companies in the industry -sort of like Neumann doing a $20 dynamic!

whats up! to anyone using Sonar 3, i was wondering if the plugins had automation capability... such as, if you only wanted lets say one snare hit to have the effect plugin trigger for only that moment, can that be done?

I really hate to ask this question..but I have no way to locally audition for myself. My setup is a Panasonic DA7, Eventide Eclipse.Kurzweil Rumour, Masterlink, Alesis HD24, 2 API 512c, Langevin DVC, Great River 1MNV. I do mostly R&B, Gospel, Funk. My questions are, has anyone used either of these converters. based on my info, which would you choose or suggest. Thanks

When I bounce to disc a mix sometimes the 2 track mix won't play.

Last moth I had a robbery at my studio and the whole computer was stolen.

I had a nuendo complete system and now I've bought another computer and I'm looking for an audio card: I'm not sure if I should buy a Nuendo DSP 96/52 (by RME) like the one I owned before or try with a MOTU or an Apogee.

Any suggestions?

I have listened some of the recordings made witht the VMP 1000e and I love it. When i have the money, it am getting a 4000. 4 luverrly channels for my acappela group. mmmmmmmm 8)
