I have listened some of the recordings made witht the VMP 1000e and I love it. When i have the money, it am getting a 4000. 4 luverrly channels for my acappela group. mmmmmmmm 8)

can any one tell me...if there is a way to use 2 softwares at a time in Digi 002R. .cuz i normally work on Sony Vegas5.0 and Sound Forge and Cubase at a time and pro tools... too the thing is when i use another application it gives device busy...ok when i turn all the applications off then open the desired application again it gives the same error...anyone has a solution plz guide...

i jsut got this card last week and i have a little problem.. the setup I'm using is a Behringer mixer right into the card, and Sonar 3 (fruity loops sometimes ) to do recordings.. now i have levels on my mixer, and levels in Sonar after assigning each track to the appropirate sound coming in.. i record and play and i get sound sound back...

So I have an 800 mhz G4 Mac where I used to have my Pro Tools digi002 and also Logic Platinum 6, haven't upgraded, yet.

I just bought a PC 3 ghz pentium 4 which is now the new home for my Pro Tools which of course was a lot more cheaper than upgrading to a mac G5 and i can mix very well on it.

Are these channel strips with EQ good if you racked up a pair?
Are they much the same as Sytek or would they be better?
Is the EQ decent in them?
And one last question.
I have heard someone put the Neotek in the same league as Millennia.
I realize that they are both transformerless and fast but is this some hyped up bull or are they really good?

At the moment I'm using an Adiophile 2496 and a small Behringer mixer (UB1002). I'm going to buy a couple of channel strips / mic preamps so I can record vox and acoustic guitar to a higher quality that I have been up 'til now.

Anybody got any referals for the repair of my dbx160VU?

I seem to lose lots of gain in the middle of takes.
My chain is the usual mic preamp>eq>compressor>recorder input.

Am pretty sure its the 160 as the gain loss never happens when I'm using another compressor.

I was wondering about a good outboard reverb unit, I'm looking in the sub $500 range, and I was wondering what my options are. I mostly need it for snare drum, a little vocals and misc. I have some plugin reverbs, but I don't really like any of them. I have the dverb, Wavestrueverb and ren verb. Is there a nice Lexicon style reverb out there in a plugin ?

Anyone using (or planning on using, i'm not sure if they are shipping yet) the new Rosetta 200 with the X-Firewire expansion card? I was thinking of upgrading soundcards, but I might just wait for this, as I don't have any nice converters. I only need two channels for now.

Any word on these?
