Hello all, i just joined this forum and i am wondering if anyone knows where i can download the pro tools option codec. I am curently running Pro Tools 6.1.1 wih an MBOX as my sound card. .any help on this matter would appreciated.

I've got SX 2. Now all i need to know is how to use it efficiently. Anyone know where i could get some helpful tutorials on how to use Cubase? Thank you in advance.

I just finished loading my vst2rtas program by FXpansion and no problem there. The problem is when I use the detect vst plugins for conversion it doesn't see the sir reverb or any of the impulses. Any help would be outstanding. Clueless in Ohio. :evil:

I have been given some Macintosh hardware (Dual 2GHz) G5 and have decided that this machine would be perfect for running Pro Tools.

Looking to build out a simple either 8x8 or 16x16 in/out studio around this machine.

Hey guys just wanted to get some opinions from some of you more seasoned recordists out there. I currently have been using a Brent Averill packaged Neve unit and a Drawmer 1960 (tube pre/comp) for my front end. (I use my Allen and Heath Board otherwise) Unfortunally I have to give those pieces back to their owner. I'm looking to either replace the Neve OR upgrade in other areas.

I was just wonding if anyone knew how far the backs of your monitors really need to be from a wall? (consider, for me, a 12ft room) I realize that more space is better to reduce exagerated bass, but if I'm trying to conserve space how much space do I REALLY need to leave?
