SAMPLITUDE PROBLEMS

I love Samplitude but i'm having a problem that's driving me nuts. Sometimes when i open up a project i've been working on, the sound Waveswill be out of place. Sometimes the the wave that's supposed to be there isn't and it is replaced with a completely different wave, sometimes it's a copy of a wave that's allready been used somewhere else in the project. I'm using a PC.

Mosfet Tube emmulation

I'm producing a reggae album and I want a classic 70's sound, defined but not too pristine. I am most likely going to be using a preamp that utilizes MosFet circuitry for tube emulation. My question is... does anyone have any experience with mosfet tube warmth? Or should I just use a valve mic for warming my digital tracks?

Thanks,

S.J.

How to spend $3000 upgrading my recording studio

If all you had was a Neumann TLM 103, Allen & Heath Mixer, Nuendo, Waves Ren, UAD-1, Pair of Oktava MK-012's, RODE NT-2, various small and large dynamic mics Mackie HR824's, decent sounding rooms AND had $3,000 to upgrade what would you do?.Style...Rock, Alt Country, full band and acoustic mostly multi-tracking so a mic or mic preamp can be used for most instruments.

MOTU HD192 vs. . 896HD

I've seen in MOTU's site some of the HD192's specs that seem to outperform the 896 HD. I wonder if anybody has had a chance to make an A/B comparison between these two units.

Stuff like "192-kHz converters in the HD192 are the very same used in more expensive HD systems. With 120dB A-weighted dynamic range and a THD+N of 0.0005%" isn't said about the 896HD.
