Speaker Position For Mixing?
Hey!
I was just wonding if anyone knew how far the backs of your monitors really need to be from a wall? (consider, for me, a 12ft room) I realize that more space is better to reduce exagerated bass, but if I'm trying to conserve space how much space do I REALLY need to leave?
Thanks!
Ryan

$20,000-$25,000 Let's build a studio
Let's see what we can come up with. I already have mics, monitors, and instruments. drums, keyboards, etc. My computer is already in place (2.4 P4 dual drives...etc.). Looking at running Nuendo 2. Played with it and really liked the features. I am not totally against replacing, but it would have to compare.

Apogiee rosetta 200 pro et contra
I am planning to change my old computer based studio equipment in to the new one. New DAW should be based on Apogiee Rosetta 200 ad/da with firewire card.
Any experience with that model ?
How many milliseconds exactly is "near to zero" latency (Rosetta 200 + X-Firewire card) ?

Webstores that ship internationally?
Anyone knows any good webstores that ship internationally?
It would be nice to have it as a resource for people like me who live outside the US.
I'm not sure whether it is the right forum for this, if it's not please move it :)

Yamaha CBX-D5 old hardware help please!
I have an old Yamaha cbx-d5 recording processor which is now obsolete, but I would like to use it's built in effects to send audio to via its in's and out's. the problem is that it has no controls on the front pannel and the only way of controling it is via MIDI.

Pro Tools mania
Hi have a small home studio that gives me great results. Folks that I record says the music sounds very professional and are very happy with the results.
New folks that I come across interested in recording invariably ask if you have Pro Tools as if nothing else will work.
