Hey guys, a friend of mine here in Baltimore is likely going to be opening up a boutique music/pro audio type store in the next year or so. I was talking to her about how she should carry more hard to find stuff that places like guitar center and such don't carry. I was wondering if you guys knew of any of these elusive FMR audio et cetera type small business/garage workshop type operations.

I feel it is time to make the next jump in my ever evolving music recording career(HAHAHA). I am ready to go computer based and know enough to be dangerous. I am upgrading from a Roland VS-2480. I have played around with Nuendo enough that I have fallen in love. I am building a P4 Dual 2.4 with a 20 gig and a 120gig drive and 1gig of DDR. I already have Mackie 824 monitor's.

What do you guys think about Waves Renaissance eq instead of hardware eq. while tracking?

There are great units out there like the Vintech or Chandler types that are pre-amp and eq section, but are significantly more expensive than their pre-amp only versions.

I've got a click track going, but it does not play the click track for 2 bars before it starts to record. As soon as I hit spacebar to begin the recording, the actual recording begins (instead of waiting the 2 bars so that I can get ready).

I want to buy from there...is it reliable?
any experience?

Gear I have so far: Behringer mixer, Shure ksm27, Soundblaster Audigy 2 Platinum Pro, MAudio Bx8s, monster cables, maudio keystation 88.

Also plan on getting an echo or m-audio sound card
