Echo Darla with sonar?
I have a chance to pick up an echo darla on the cheap, I'm assuming it will be a leap ahead of the sb live I'm using, The computer is 2.6 gh with 512 ram, I'm wondering what sort of latency I might expect?

meter drives
:) Seb, this is Rick from AVF, I have to use the sign in name now. I was wondering, after seeing the nice wide swing VU meters on your units, what you have done in regards to driving them? Is it rocket science to not impede performance? I can just imagine the nice graceful dancing. They sure look great in the Pro Shop!

Pro Tools and Cubase SX
I have a potential client that wants to record his drum tracks on a Pro Tools rig at a larger studio here in town, but wants to finish the project (vocals, guitar, mixing, etc.) at my studio. I use Cubase SX. Is there going to be any easy way to do this? I've never had the oportunity to use Protools, so I'm unfamiliar with the project formats.

I couldn't believe my eyes...
I opened up a rack at my work to see what was in it and I nearly messed my pants. There it was. 12 Helios channel strips and a Langivin 8 channel mixer. 2 side cars in one shock mounted rack. I don't work anywhere and I don't know who it belongs to :?

Frequency Panning?
How do the pros get that perfect master with what seems like an emphasis on deep bass + highs on the left and mid bass + mids on the right? And I know this is a mastering forum but does anyone have any advanced panning techniques especially regarding different frequencies and effects
Thanks,
Ryan Chamberlain

Recording symphonic music
Hello,
I am a musician and I'm graduating as a composer/conductor.
Now I'm doing a research about how the conductor works during a recording session.
If somebody here have experience in recording orchestral music and could help me I will appreciate.
Thanks.

Waves Ren Reverb...
I have the Waves Gold Bundle and was wondering about settings for Ren Reverb as a Master bus reverb at mixdown. I do mostly Hip-Hop and R&B and looking for something to just fill in the gaps and help everything mesh. I get a good mix before it but have noticed when plugging in the Ren reverb how it adds the that sparkle of ambience and brings a little more cohesiveness to the track.
