I've read that this unit has 5 times the processing power than that of the H3000. I like Eventide products even though I don't own one. I could use my anual bonus to purchase an Eclipse. I'm curious to find out if anyone has used this unit or currently owns one. Is this a unit worth looking at?

Since I'm very much into vintage sounds I really love the VSTi's like NI FM7, B4, Pro53 and so on... But I really miss the sound you could get from old vintage effects like phasers, flangers and other stomp-boxes from Electro Harmonix, Ibanez(70's), Maestro etc.
Do you know if there are any pluginsthat have that kind of vintage sound?

Has anyone tried The 828mkII from MOTU? I'm wondering about the monitoring capabilities with it. I've got the original 828 and I can only monitor 2 channels at a time without latency; in other words, I have to pick a pair for 'CueMix' monitoring). If I turn software monitoring on in Logic, I believe I can monitor any and all inputs coming in, but then there's that dreaded latency.

My church want to have a system setup that is able to capture our various choirs performances, which will then be edited and burned to CD for sale.My budget is $4000.00 but out of this I plan to purchase an Allen & Heath GL2200 mixer $2500.oo and the balance $1500 for the recorder.

Greetings. My first post. I produce for Bill Young Productions Houston. We're a Pro Tools (Win 2K) house with 6 systems and 3 LE systems. We back up on a central network for archive. Our tracks are built in PT, our voice work is done on 1/2" 4-track. Tape is getting tougher to find, and we need a solution for voicing in Pro Tools, with great speed.

I am currently renting an AKG 414 eb with the silver body. I love it, so much so that I have been looking to buy one. There are a few 414 eb's with the black body on ebay, but none with the silver body. Is there a difference between the two? Will I be disappointed with the black body 414 eb?
