Is it a must?

I'm new here. I teach an audio course at Calvin College. We're just installing a new facility and are trying to make decisions about what to install.

Any difference in the sound of reverb in these two units?

A lot of questions have been asked regarding sound quality of various pieces of equipment. We (the mods) are asked if this compressor is better than that compressor and is this recorder better than that recorder, what mics will do what.

Anybody knows anything about the Turkish Superstars debut English record here? I have heard that Tarkan will release his English album in USA, Europe and the rest of the world in early 2003. And the 1st single from the album will be the cover of 70s smash hits "You Sexy Thing" (by Hot Chocolate). If anyone know anything about his new record pls write!

About the only black box I don't have much of a handle on is multiband dynamics processing.

Everything else, I know what I'm looking for, and can pretty confidently dial in the sound I hear in my head. Can anyone recommend a source to help me learn how to get the most out of this process?

Something has perplexed me for a while:

Why are mixing and mastering considered separate steps? It seems to me that a better job could be done if the separate levels and frequencies of the original source material could be adjusted during the final process to compensate for changes and correct for mistakes, as mix dynamics are being adjusted.

I've just got a tc finalizer plus not the 96khz and i want to use it to clean up my mixes.Has anyone got any ideas of how to use it.ie what frequency to use on treble to make it sound cleaner so the mix is ready for the street.or anything else i need to do.

I'm using SONAR XL 2 and a MOTU 2048 mkii for my recording. I'm monitoring through a set of medium quality headphones. Typically, I record everything into SONAR and mix the tracks down to a WAV file.
