Im having a problem hearing my vocals through the head phones while recording...I can hear the play back of the instrumental, but I can't hear the vocals. I have the mic L up to -.1db close to 0db's I can also see my vocals being recorded and hear them during playback?

Just recently bought the M-Audio Audiophile, and i have the tape output from my Behringer mixer into the input of it and the output from it to my speakers. but whenever i record vocals or any instruments from the tape out of my Behringer mixer, i cant monitor them through the speakers, or headphone output, can anyone help me?

I was looking for some user feedback on these pieces of equipment and SP2. Since Aarvark went under (no more driver updates) I felt it might be best to stick with the OS configuration I had. It was working fine, no need to subject myself to the unknown.

I am just starting out recording live sound on my own. I previously worked with my school recording the school bands and I was spoiled by having beta58s and AT 4041s(i think) and then an Allen&Heath GL2200 series console. I would love to be able to spend that kind of money but I cant.

I am new to recording. In fact I have only recorded 1 band with my DAW equipment. I feel like I have got some good results from my recording, however, after comparing it to other CD's of the same genre mine seems to be a little lower in volume. I know this is a mastering technique but I can't seem to figure out how to boost my volume of the overall mix without clipping something.

when ever i record my amp when it's distorted is sounds REALLY harsh. i dont know why...but it may be cause by set up.

for starters I'm using Shure pg-48 to mic my amp, which isent the best mic for recording instruments.

then that goes straight into my echo mona to my pc.
