It's a 100w 6" powered sub. The amp seems to be blown. Is there any use I can put this thing to in a psuedo studio environment? Was thinking about building a sub mic. can anyone help?

Hey guys, I'm looking for a new stereo pair. A friend of mine has a pair of Earthwork Omnis and I absolutely love them but I'd rather get something else and just borrow his on those projects which I really need that sound.

What kind of amps do you use? what kind of mic/mics? where do you put them and at what angle? at what volume do you record? do you use many layers? how do you eq them (low cut? high cut? any special boosts?)

It would also be nice if you could post a sample of the guitars, solo and with music, so I/we can hear how your technic sounds :)

Well, this certainly is odd. I was dubbing an old show which I'd cleaned up in the computer. It's a digital dub to DAT: SPDIF coax converted to optical via an Maudio box with no change in sample rate. During the original dub I allowed the DAT to run to the end to get continuous control track.

I was wondering if anyone ownes or has used the Native Instruments guitar rig. Any thoughts or opinions are appreciated.
